The project, which is a collaboration with SOS Children, provides medical support needed in unstable times. The medical centre specialises in the provision of care to children and women and children, from basic medical care to pregnancy follow-up services, vaccinations and sex education.
The medical centre is equipped with delivery rooms and offers preventive examinations, as well as advice on hygiene, nutrition and first aid. It also provides support for people living with HIV and guarantees access to primary health care to people of the entire region. In one month, 1400 people can be treated at the centre, mainly children with diarrhoea or respiratory diseases.
Philia Foundation’s support to date has covered maintenance and repair costs, medical and transportation expenses and other running costs and overheads.
